Michael Jackson Sony music will release 10 songs previously unreleased according to Rolling Stone Magazine. They also said that Jackson may have hard drives containing a number of songs recorded during the 80′s that were never released. Are more current although a number of the unreleased tracks, and feature collaborations with artists like Ne-Yo, Akon, and Will.i.am, Jackson’s manager Frank DiLeo also suggests that some of the material was much older. “There are a couple of songs we recorded for the Bad album that we had to cut that are just sensational,” said DiLeo.
Rolling Stone also said that this release would be the first among many and was part of a large scale deal between Jackson’s estate and Sony Music, involving the release of new material as well as the re-issue of classic albums; the deal was seemly worth $250 million. The deal is expected to play out over the next 7 years, and involve 10 projects in total; it was not revealed exactly how many of these projects would be comprised of previously unreleased material and how many would be re-issues.
It was also reported that there would be greatest hits packages as well as DVD collections involved in the upcoming releases.
