Arctic Monkeys’ native show sell out in an hour
Arctic Monkeys’ two upcoming home town concerts 20000 tickets had been sold out in just an hour, writes Digital Editor Graham Walker.
That was more than five of the £32.50 tickets every SECOND.
In a custom-designed tent at Don Valley Grass Bowl on Friday and Saturday June 10 and 11 show will be performed by Arctic Monkeys.
Arena Ticket Shop spokesman Simon Bailey said: “It proves what we already knew - that Sheffield’s Arctic Monkeys remain one of the top touring bands in the world.
“Everything sold out in an hour. There’s nothing left. The band may be doing festivals this summer but anyone who wanted to see them made sure of a ticket for one of these shows. We had sales nationwide and beyond.”
The band last played in Sheffield when they made their Arena debut in November 2009 in front of over 13,000 fans.
