Rock Icon 48 years old, now he explain, "We could have sold out Wembley Stadium no problem but Hyde Park is right out the back door of the hotel I stay at in London. The traffic of getting to Wembley from central London I've done enough times. I like to walk across the park, it's that simple!"

References Bon Jovi as Saying, "I've always toyed with the idea of playing there. If they don't have another old timer like me, I'd love to go out and see it and perhaps do a set."

Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus are comparing

In the music industry to Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift are both teenage solo artists. They both have a similar style of music, with a mix of country to Miley's is more of pop, Taylor swift keeps it straight country for the most part, in the mix with a few pop songs. Miley's fame is directly attributed to the Disney channel, where she first became popular off of the show Hannah Mantona, a show about a teenage pop star that leads a double life. This gave Miley Cyrus an a huge platform to start her solo music career off of.

Taylor Swift however has no affiliation with Disney, and had to work much harder to get her musical career started than Miley Cyrus did. Taylor Swift has been signed and dropped before recording her first single "Tim McGraw". She then released her self titled album on which 'Should've said no' was a big success.

Miley Cyrus's music is generally geared more towards younger kids and tween audiences. This is largely due to the fact that Miley's career started on the Disney, and her first few albums were under the pseudonym Hannah Mantona. Miley Cyrus's music is also not as relate able to many many people as Taylor Swift's music. This is because Miley's first albums mainly focused on her leading a double life as the Hannah Montana character, something that not many teenagers can relate to.

Taylor Swift's music however has a much larger audience, if not in numbers than in age groups. The main reason for this is Taylor Swift's song content matter. Many of Taylor Swift's songs focus on topics that teenage girls go through in their everyday life, such as being overlooked as "just a friend" to the guy they like. Many college girls who buy Swift's Cd's say it is because of just that, they can relate to the songs.

Miley is working on leaving her Disney past behind quite clearly, her music is becoming more focused on adult subject matter. Even her stage performance are becoming increasingly adult, and possibly even too adult. In an effort to leave behind her Disney days she is becoming increasingly like pop stars before her. Miley is showing many of the same qualities that Britney showed when she was transitioning in to adulthood, with songs like "Can't be tamed" where she is clearly trying to break free from the mold that was created for her.

While a lot in common to Miley and Taylor, it is clear that they are two separate artists with two separate styles of music, and different demographics. Taylor Swift has a strong foot in the country music industry, but Miley Cyrus's ability to leave behind her Disney days will finally decide if she will remain a force in the pop music industry.

World Ticket Shop: Miley Cyrus eager to bid Hannah Montana goodbye

Hannah Montana's fourth and final season and perhaps, the show is aptly named Hannah Montana Forever for its last stint.
The Disney folks would have to look for someone else for their lead character anyway if they had any plans to continue with the show.
Miley Cyrus is going through an image overhaul period for one thing, which she and her handlers think will be more profitable for her as a singer and an actor. Another thing is Miley has grown too old anyway for the part.
Currently she expressed her disinterest about continuing with the role anymore, too.
“I’ve never faked it, saying that I’m always going to be Hannah forever,” Cyrus, 17, told Toronto Sun. “I’m going to grow up at some point. I’ve been always honest about that.
She says that she is at it since she was 11 and it is high time she called it quits.
“I think it’s the right time (to end Hannah Montana) because we’ve been working since I was, you know, about 11,” Cyrus told. “That’s when I did my first audition.
The actress is recently busy shooting her new movie LOL: Laughing Out Loud which stars Ashley Greene and Demi Moore beside her.

Elton John and Justin Timberlake "American Idol" targets

"American Idol" will have to make a huge splash with his replacement a widely known commodity in the music industry. Enter: Elton John and Justin Timberlake. The two pop stars top "Idol" producer Simon Fuller's list of desired candidates, along with Harry Connick Jr., Chris Isaak and Donald Trump.
But, hell, why not have all of them? That's what would happen if it were up to Nigel Lythgoe, former producer of the U.K. version of "Idol" and recent producer of "So You Think You Can Dance?". And he might soon have the power to do so. It's being reported that Lythgoe is close to taking the reins at the U.S. "Idol," and he has stated that, if things went his way, he'd ax the entire panel for fresh blood.
Such a drastic course of action, however, may prove to be difficult. Randy Jackon will probably stay onboard with only one year left on his contract. Ellen DeGeneres, who underwhelmed critics last season, will be hard to boot with her multi year deal, which she says she will fulfill. So that leaves Paula Abdul's replacement, Kara DioGuardi, on the outside looking in. Her contract is only year-to-year, which means she's probably a goner if Lythgoe takes the "Idol" reigns.
Either way, without Cowell there to make contestants cry, "American Idol" will be much different in its 10th season.

Amy Winehouse says that new album due by 2011

Amy Winhouse Grammy Award winning singer, who has made headlines more for her drug battles, rocky relationships and legal woes than for her acclaimed music, has vowed that her much awaited next album is just months away.
"The album will be six months at the most," she told the U.K.'s Metro news daily on Tuesday night, while attending the London premiere of the film Psychosis, by her new boyfriend, writer director Reg Traviss.
"It's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff and songs that are just jukebox, really … I just can't wait to have new songs on stage."
Winehouse's second album, 2006's retro styled Back in Black, was an international sensation that garnered the singer a raft of awards, including a hefty five trophies at the 2008 Grammy Awards (for best new artist, best pop vocal album and record of the year, song of the year and best solo female vocal performance for the infectious single Rehab).
She turned in her Grammy performance via satellite from London, after her U.S. visa request was denied.
Even as her star was rising with the release of Back in Black, her personal life was spiralling into chaos with erratic behaviour, multiple stints at drug rehabilitation clinics, shambolic performances, assault lawsuits and a turbulent, short lived marriage.
Surprise guest
The singer's declaration of a forthcoming new release is dramatically different from the most current update from her producer, Mark Ronson, who also produced Back in Black.
The British hitmaker told reporters that Winehouse "hasn't begun working on her next record yet" following a performance at London's 100 Club last week to launch his new band, The Business Intl.
"When she's got 10 songs, we'll go down to the studio together," he said.
Winehouse, who had turned up as a surprise guest at Ronson's gig, joined him onstage for Valerie, the track she sang on his previous album Versions.
However, the performance was rocky, with Winehouse appearing to forget the lyrics. She later said that she had been unsure which version of the song they were to be performing.
Island, her record label, had said last fall that a new record would be forthcoming in 2010.

2010 BET Awards Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Chris Brown

Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, and particularly Chris Brown were the center of numerous rumors following the 2010 BET Awards. The show Chris Brown stole and has been the topic of conversation since the the 2010 BET Awards honored Prince and Michael Jackson on Sunday (June 27th). Chris Brown's electrifying, emotional Michael Jackson tribute performance has received just as much praise and respect as it has criticism. Rumor after rumor has surfaced about Chris Brown's emotional breakdown. First people said he faked it and was only acting, it was rumored that R&B singer Lloyd "told" Brown to cry on stage for sympathy, and rumors even spread of Brown's bodyguard giving him eye watering eye drops before the performance. Stephen Hill, the executive producer for the BET Awards, has come forward to publicly dispel all the rumors.Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Rihanna were only caught up in the rumors because of Chris Brown's performance. When Brown broke down during Michael Jackson's "Man In The Mirror", the whole world relived the Rihanna incident which cost Brown his Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards in 2009 just after Jackson passed unexpectedly. Rumors spread that Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Rihanna were all scheduled to perform at the 2010 BET Awards but backed out when they learned of Chris Brown's tribute. BET's Stephen Hill cleared up the rumors in a recent interview. "They missed the awards, because…we have this conversation almost every year. And, some years we are actually fortunate when Jay-Z and Beyonce are in the house and other times, they go on vacation. But I can absolutely say without reservation that there was no conversation at all around, 'If Chris Brown’s coming, I’m not coming.' That’s just false." There you have it. That clears Jay-Z & Beyonce.......but WHAT ABOUT RIHANNA?I know you are dying to tell me what you think about this ongoing drama, so leave us a comment in the section below.

World Ticket Shop Metallica Sonisphere Cinecast Seen By 100,000

The Sonisphere cinecast from the Sofia, Bulgaria leg of the touring rock festival was seen by more than 100,000 fans, according to promoter Stuart Galbraith. The global June 22 cinecast featured the 'Big Four' of metal - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax - and was beamed via satellite in HD to cinemas. It was distributed globally into hundreds of cinemas by New York-based BY Experience. In the U.K. it was screened in 79 cinemas. "At the Odeon in Leicester Square in London there was a mosh pit, and at the end of the show they had a stage invasion, which is just phenomenal to even think about," says Galbraith. "Not only are we hitting the territories that we're playing with this tour, (with the cinecast) we've taken the Big Four and Sonisphere into countries we haven't been able to get to this year."A DVD of the cinema presentation is set to be released later this year. TV deals have also been struck for sets from Sonisphere and in Britain ITV2 will screen highlights from the U.K. festival. VH1 will show Sonisphere in the U.S.While the Big Four did impressive numbers in cinemas globally, the Sonisphere festival launched this year with close to 100,000 tickets sold for just one event at Bemowow Airport in Warsaw, Poland on June 16. It was the first time the four metal bands had shared a concert bill."That was quite incredible, the first time into the market," says Galbraith. "To have those four bands all on the same bill for the first time ever was a very special moment."Sonisphere has also called at Jonschwil in Switzerland, Prague, Sofia and Athens. It is now in Bucharest and Istanbul (both June 25-27) and then travels to Madrid (July 9-10), Stockholm (Aug. 7) and Pori in Finland (Aug. 7-8). It wraps up with two nights at the 50,000-capacity Knebworth (July 30-Aug. 1). Rammstein and Iron Maiden headline with Anthrax, Pendulum, Alice In Chains, Alice Cooper, Motley Crue and Slayer also on the bill.Iron Maiden will be playing three Sonisphere dates in August on the eve of the Aug. 15 release of their new album, "The Final Frontier" (EMI)."It's a great launch for them for their album, in the U.K., Sweden and Finland," says Galbraith. It will be Maiden's only shows in those territories in 2010.At Knebworth, Rammstein play their first ever outdoor show in the U.K. Metallica played all dates last year but it will not be appearing at Knebworth or Madrid in 2010.Overall, almost 600,000 tickets have been sold for 19 days of Sonisphere at 11 sites in 2010, compared to 290,000 for seven days at six locations last year. Tickets in eastern and southern Europe tend to sell nearer the date than in western counties. The World Cup has not proved a distraction either. While some other festivals showed games on big screens, Sonisphere has taken a defiant stand. "We've ignored it," says Galbraith. "Most self respecting rock fans aren't into football."Galbraith is already talking to potential headliners and sponsors for 2011, and expects to return to the U.K., Sweden and Finland, among others. He hopes for 12 to 14 Sonisphere festivals in 2011.Sonisphere was launched in 2009 by Galbraith, series producer and director and CEO of Kilimanjaro Live, and John Jackson, festival creator and director and Metallica's booking agent at K2 since 1985. AEG, which backs Kilimanjaro, is also supporting the festival
